When it comes to photographing juxtaposition, the possibilities are endless. In landscape photography, natural forms and textures are often juxtaposed with the harsh, geometric shapes of human construction. For example, a dilapidated wooden building on a sandy beach might be paired with the curves of a swirling sand dune, highlighting the contrast between the old and the new.

Juxtaposition can also be achieved artificially, by placing objects or scene elements next to one another in a way that sparks a connection or tension.
